The General Data Protection Regulations affect the way we keep information about our clients and other people who we communicate with. This policy explains how we use information that we collect about you and will be reviewed regularly and updated as necessary.
Use of information
The information that we collect and store relating to you is used to enable us to provide our services to you, and to provide you with the information that you have requested from us.
The information that we hold about you will include data that you provide to us in order that we can prepare your business accounts and tax computations, process payroll data, maintain your accounting records, prepare accounts and tax returns and other documents to send to you for your approval.
You may also provide us with other data personal data, to assist us in providing our services to you, and we will keep this on file for as long as it is needed.
Where we have your authority to do so, we will communicate with Government bodies such as H M Revenue and Customs, Companies House, and/or the Charity Commission on your behalf as your agent, in order to submit the accounts and/or tax returns to those organisations in order to enable you to meet your legal obligations. Where we process your organisation’s payroll, we will hold records of the payroll scheme and personal information concerning your employees as well as the information relating to their workplace pension arrangements.
We will not provide any of this data or any other personal information to anyone without receiving your express authority in writing or by email first.
We do not sell personal information to anyone or any other organisation, nor do transfer data that we collect from you to locations outside the European Economic Area or use suppliers who operate outside this area.
Storing your personal data
Data that is provided to us is stored on our secure server which is backed up on a daily basis
The transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure and so we cannot guarantee the security of information that is transmitted in this way, and so this is at your own risk.
Accessing your data
You have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you. If you would like a copy of some or all of your personal information, please write to us at the office address, or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
We want to ensure that your personal information is accurate and up to date. You may ask us to correct or remove information that you think is inaccurate.
